July 17, 2020 - We remind citizens whose residential buildings were damaged in the earthquake, of the possibility of free parking in public garages and public parking lots.
Citizens residing in the parking charge zone are provided with free parking in public garages Langov trg, Tuškanac, Petrinjska, Gorica and Jelkovec 1, while free parking in public parking lots is provided to users residing in the city districts of Gornji and Donji grad.
Citizens wishing to exercise the right to free parking should obtain a certificate from the City Office for Physical Planning, City Construction, Construction, Utilities and Transport (Sector for Construction and Rehabilitation of Damaged Social Facilities and Housing) that their housing was damaged in the earthquake and fill in the Request for free parking in public garages, or the Request for free parking in public parking lots.
Submission of requests
Requests for free parking can be downloaded on this website and at the cash desk of the Branch in the Holding Center of Zagreb Holding, Ulica grada Vukovara 41.
If citizens fulfill the conditions, them will be issued a parking ticket for public parking lots or a public garage, as follows:
- for users whose property is marked "unusable" - with a maximum validity period of three months from the date of issue
- for users whose property is marked "temporarily unusable" - valid for one month from the date of issue
Citizens can submit a completed request for free parking in a public garage or public parking lot with all the necessary scanned documentation to the branch office in the Holding Center and by e-mail to the following e-mail addresses:
Those users who obtained a three-month free parking ticket based on a red sticker can extend it for another three months, while users who received a one-month free parking ticket based on a yellow sticker issued can extend it for another month.
To extend the right to free parking, it is enough to fill in the Request again, ie you no longer need to attach a certificate from the competent City Office on the damage to residential buildings in the earthquake.
A free parking ticket for parking in a public garage or for parking in a public car park can be obtained for only one vehicle per housing unit.
