Waste disposal
Under the Croatian Sustainable Waste Management Act (Official Gazette no. 94/2013), ZGOS operations are purely commercial and equal to the operations of a number of other business operators offering the described products and services in the market. ZGOS performs its commercial waste management operations, including waste disposal at the Jakuševec/Prudinec Landfill, in line with the valid Waste Management Permit Class: UP/I 351-02/15-008/3, Registry No: 251-19-22-15-10, and in line with Decision Class: UP/I 351-02/15-008/3, Registry No: 251-19-22-15-14 from 9 April 2015 and Decision Class: UP/I 351-02/15-008/3, Registry No: 251-19-22-15-23 from 10 July 2015.
Construction Permit Class UP/I-361-03/00-01/314, Registry No: 251-05-03/02-00-2 from 28 July 2000 was issued for the construction of the Jakuševec/Prudinec Landfill to ZGOS Zagreb, Jakuševec bb, as the investor, permitting the construction of a horizontal waterproof surface (operational surface) for waste disposal and the supporting drainage elements, control leaching system, interlayers and cover layers for the disposed waste body within the Jakuševec Landfill, which is located on cadastral plots no. 390, 392, 394 and 1515 in Cadastral Municipality Jakuševec, in line with the main project produced by the Civil Engineering Institute of Croatia, Zagreb, J. Rakuše 1, on 1 March 2000, which is a constituent part of the construction permit.

WASTE DISPOSAL
In line with the above Waste Management Permit and the associated Decisions, Prudinec/Jakuševec Landfill allows the disposal of the following types of waste:

17 05 06 dredging spoil other than those mentioned in 17 05 05
19 01 12 bottom ash and slag other than those mentioned in 19 01 11

19 03 05 stabilised wastes other than those mentioned in 19 03 04

Disposal of radioactive, hazardous and liquid waste is prohibited at the Prudinec/Jakuševec Landfill.
BULKY WASTE AND PACKAGED SOLID WASTE
The disposal of bulky waste and packaged waste, packaging included, is permitted in exceptional cases. The customer must provide the necessary documentation for the disposal of waste at the Prudinec/Jakuševec Landfill. 1m3 = 1t charges apply.
REUSABLE TYPES OF WASTE
The disposal of reusable waste is prohibited at the Prudinec/Jakuševec Landfill.
The Prudinec/Jakuševec Landfill does not accept the following types of waste:
Liquid waste, with the exception of the dregs/sludge from the leachate waters treatment device collecting and treating leachate waters from the landfill body,
Waste which, in the conditions of landfill, is explosive, corrosive, oxidising, highly flammable or flammable, as defined by special regulations,
Hospital and other clinical wastes arising from medical and/or veterinary establishments, which have the properties of hazardous medical waste as defined by special regulations,
Waste tyres,
Animal and slaughterhouse waste, animal carcasses and animal products, unless thermally processed as defined by special regulations,
Waste industrial and automobile batteries and accumulators,
Waste motor vehicles and their untreated component parts arising from the process of treatment and recovery of waste vehicles,
Waste electrical and electronic devices and equipment,
All other types of waste not fulfilling the criteria for the acceptance of waste at the landfill under the Regulations on the Manner and Conditions of Waste Disposal, Categories and Operating Conditions for Landfills.
The users of the landfill’s services are required to submit all the required waste documentation for every shipment of waste brought to the landfill at landfill entrance: Accompanying form for waste, basic waste categorization and, depending on the type of waste brought to be deposited, a valid eluate analysis.
In addition to a visual inspection of the composition of the waste at the landfill entrance, the landfill conducts a detailed examination of the waste at the point of unloading (certification of the unloading inspection form). The vehicle that brought waste to the landfill is not allowed to leave the landfill without a certified unloading inspection form.
ILLEGAL WASTE DISPOSAL CHARGES
If the user of the landfill’s services avoids weighing the waste, unloads the waste without a certified inspection form, or unloads the waste to a different surface than instructed, the user will be charged for the actual clean-up costs or minimally triple charges for the estimated or weighed amount of waste in line with ZGOS valid rates.
